Hebrew, one must remember, is a language originally written in symbols. Since these symbols are relational, words that are spelled similarly are related. I find it intriguing that the word for truth אמת (emet) and the word for faith אמונה (emunah) are related to each other. Both words start with Aleph and Mem. Aleph comes from the symbol for ox and can mean strong, power or leader. The Mem is the symbol for water and can mean mighty or blood.
What a great reminder that the truth of who G-d and Yeshua are relates to having faith in Him. Both truth and faith start with the strong leader being mighty or even show us that there is power in the blood. The point of the mater is that faith and truth go hand in hand. Yes, we know that Yeshua is the way, the Truth and the life, and yet when we have faith in Him, it is credited to us as righteousness.
Many skeptics say that we have drunk the cool aid and are following Messiah blindly. I say that is wrong. Yes we do have faith in Messiah and that is what saves us, but there is truth there as well. If Yeshua is not true, than why do we believe and follow Him? That is why I think it is important when trying to lead someone to faith in Yeshua, I ask them, "if what you believe is not true, would you want to know it?"
Here is my challenge to you. If you are a skeptic, try using intellectual honesty to disprove the scriptures. Then once you discover for yourself that the Bible and all that is written in it is true, you too will come to a saving faith that is only found in Yeshua Jesus. If you have already found true faith, then live like the scriptures say and join us in bringing others to אמונה אמת (true faith).
